IÉSEG School of Management becomes first French business school to choose Panopto as its video platform

London, 12 Jan 2017 – Panopto, a leading video platform for enterprise and education, today announced its video capture and management solution has been selected by IÉSEG School of Management to help spread video use across the institution – making it the first French business school to do so.

IÉSEG, serving 4800 students across two campuses in Lille and Paris, plans to use Panopto to provide an easy-to-access video library for its students to improve their learning experience. Professors on the Quantitative Methods courses will also use Panopto to create short tutorial videos for students to help boost their skills and competencies. Additionally, the institution plans to use the platform to allow students to record and submit video assignments and the courses that already offer student recording options will now use Panopto’s Assignment Folder feature to power this activity. The business school is considering several other uses for Panopto and new ideas will be developed in the coming months.

Loic Plé, Deputy Director for Pedagogy and Academic Development, and Head of the Center for Educational and Technological Innovation at IÉSEG commented:

“IÉSEG is always looking at ways to enhance the student learning experience. We want to provide our students with all the resources they need to maximise their chances of success. Technology is one among those many resources that enables them to consolidate their knowledge, gear up to exam season, share their work with other students and with professors, and more.

“Having assessed the capabilities of the Panopto Video Platform, we are excited about the possibilities it offers our staff to deliver engaging learning materials to their students. The solution is an incredibly easy-to-use system, ensuring that whatever our professors’ level of technical expertise, they can start recording and sharing indexed, quality content with their students”.

Peter Ingle, General Manager at Panopto EMEA commented:

“We’re very pleased to be bringing our first French business school on board. We are already working with several companies in France that are using Panopto to support video learning amongst staff. We will now be able to help IÉSEG bring these same benefits to their students and academics.”
