Panopto Named One of Washington’s 100 Best Places to Work

Seattle Business Magazine Recognizes Technology Company for Its Responsibility and Decision Making, Work Environment, Benefits, Professional Development, and Employee SatisfactionSEATTLE, Wash., July 2, 2015 — Panopto, a Seattle-based video platform provider for enterprise and education markets, today announced that it has been selected as one of Washington’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in an annual ranking compiled by Seattle Business magazine. Specifically, the company was ranked number 8 among mid-sized businesses across the state. Panopto was recognized as an organization that sets the standard for responsibility and decision making, great benefits, flexible work environments, innovative professional development, and employee satisfaction.

“Many of the people at Panopto today chose to leave great jobs at more established companies to pursue the professional lifestyle and career opportunities inherent in a young, rapidly-growing company,” said Eric Burns, co-founder and CEO of Panopto. “To find ourselves in a position where these people passionately say that they made the right decision is one of our greatest successes. Many startups never survive to reach the scale where they can provide strong benefits and great work environment. It is truly a privilege to have arrived at that stage and to be recognized for it.”

Seattle Business 100 Best CompaniesTo be considered for the 100 Best Companies list, applicants submitted a formal nomination and participated in employee satisfaction surveys conducted by an independent third-party research firm. Employees rated their company on many aspects of the workplace, including healthcare benefits and corporate culture, and could provide detailed comments on each of these areas. The research firm compiled the anonymous surveys and presented the results to a panel of judges, who then individually selected the final 100 honorees. Winners were announced at Seattle Business Magazine’s annual gala event held July 1, 2015 at the Washington State Convention Center. Other 2015 honorees included Zillow, GoDaddy, LiquidPlanner, Redfin, Porch, F5 Networks, Concur, Whitepages, and INRIX.

Headquartered in the historic Smith Tower at Pioneer Square, Panopto has seen incredible growth over the past 12 months, doubling the number of enterprise accounts and expanding its international business across Europe and Asia. The company has just under 100 employees serving Fortune 500 businesses and leading academic institutions around the world. Today’s recognition follows on the heels of Panopto’s recent announcement that, for the third year running, its customer service had received a 99% satisfaction rating by its clients.
