Panopto 15.0 is Here
Panopto is continuously committed to designing smarter ways to work and learn with video. Our newest release, Panopto 15.0 is no exception. Panopto 15.0, released at the end of June, included the rollout of two new product add-ons, Panopto Knowledge Insights and Panopto Access AI. In addition to this expansion of the solution, the 15.0 release delivered new Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) capabilities as well as updates that streamline user interactions with our most-used menus and optimize our integrations with key LMS platforms.
Arabic ASR Captioning Now Supported
Panopto 15.0 brings Arabic auto-captioning capabilities, allowing our Arabic-speaking communities to benefit from this important accessibility feature. Auto-captioning supports diverse learning needs and reduces the need for constant note-taking during classes, freeing up mental bandwidth for full engagement. From the moment we greet each other with “مرحبًا” or “السلام عليكم” to when we say goodbye with “مع السلامة” or “وداعاً”, Panopto seamlessly generates Arabic captions that can also be saved and shared as transcripts.
Quick Context Menus Streamline Navigation
Effortlessly navigate your folder settings with a quick context menu. This new feature simplifies access to frequently used functions, making folder management more efficient and helping administrators save more time.
LMS Workflow and Integration Improvements
Panopto’s LMS integrations help keep your videos at the center of learning and development. Our newest release includes updates to these integrations that make it easier for administrators and users to benefit from both platforms.
Canvas
Student video submission workflows have been simplified for Canvas LTI 1.3 integrations.
Open LMS
We now offer support for Moodle servers hosted on Open LMS.
Moodle 4.4
We now offer support for Moodle version 4.4.
